The radiology department of the medical center is led by Doctor of Medicine; Associate Professor Grigol Nemsadze from TSMU.
The clinic offers the following state-of-the-art diagnostic investigations:
X-ray
Computed tomography
Mammography
Ultrasound examination
Lithotripsy
X-ray
X-ray examination relies on the use of penetrating radiation for the examination of organs and the skeleton. Its methods include:
X-ray fluoroscopy, where the image is obtained on a screen in real time;
X-ray radiography, where the image is captured in picture form. Digital radiography allows the obtained image to not be printed on film and to be recorded on a compact disc.
Computed Tomography
Computed tomography provides a cross-sectional 3D image of organs and tissues using X-ray beams. It gives a complete image of the organism.
The radiologist can see details of the anatomical changes occurring in the body and writes the appropriate conclusion after identifying different types of pathologies.
Mammography
Mammography is one of the methods of radiological examination that visualizes the mammary glands using safe, low-dose X-rays. Mammography allows for early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases.
Mammographic examination is used for breast cancer screening, meaning when the woman has not yet exhibited symptoms. Mammographic examination can also be used as a diagnostic method for women who exhibit symptoms associated with breast cancer, such as the presence of a lump in the breast, pain, skin deformation/dimpling, and discharge from the breast.
Ultrasound Examination
Ultrasound examination is a method of examining organs and tissues using ultrasonic
